In this tutorial, we demonstrate how you can use https://infranodus.com to promote your channel on YouTube for free. We share an approach we use for our YouTube channel, @noduslabs, where we got about 20K subscribers and about 1 Mln views in a year using the methodology described below.
The approach in based on a very simple idea that in order for your channel to be recommended, it needs to be related to the interests of your potential audience. Especially, the content they see on their home page.
Step 1: Analyze the Content of Typical User Homepages
First, we analyze this content for the typical home pages of our potential users. You can use your own page or ask a few of your loyal audience members or customers to copy and paste their recommendations to you as well.
Step 2: Discover How YouTube Sees Your Channel
Then, we analyze the content of your most popular and most watched videos — that's how YouTube sees you. It may turn out, like in our case, that your content is too niche for your potential audience. A good feedback to focus on more popular topics. You can also compare the two graphs and see what your audience is recommended that you don't yet have (in our case it's AI and productivity, health, and music).
To analyze your videos, you can simply copy and paste your top video titles from your YouTube Analytics panel, export this as a CSV file, and import it into InfraNodus, or use our YouTube channel import feature.
Step 3: Target the Intersection between Your Audience's Interests and Your Content
Finally, based on those insights, you create relevant content that will address your audience's interests and tell YouTube that your channel is highly relevant to your potential viewers.
