Can't log in
My password works to get into the account portal, but when I try to sign in to the app with that password and the username listed in the portal, it doesn't recognize them.

I have exactly the same issue. I received the welcome e-mail, and can log on to the account portal but the app login doesn't work. I tried to go down the path of I forgot my password but It got stuck and didn't do anything. Please advice how I can log in to the app!

Same issue. You need to change the password recovery from username to email. Everyone forgets usernames because you have to make them up. I've been paying for this for a year and haven't used in months. You should truly move to confirmation link system that doesn't even use passwords. I'll settle for just getting access to what I pay for though.
