Suppose you want to identify the main SEO topics that you should target to promote your website. Let's see how you can do this using InfraNodus app for network graph visualization of search query keywords.
Step 1: Get the Keywords
A good place to start is the Google Search Console for your website or product. Google Search Console shows how often the keywords that eventually lead users to your website get shown and clicked on.
The most basic, but quite efficient approach is to target those words where you have a high number of impressions but low number of clicks. You can then create articles, content, and backlinks that will target those keywords in order to bring the number of clicks up and attract more audience to your website / product.
In Google Console, we can sort the keywords used by people to find the website by the number of their impressions:
We can see that for this particular website, "SEO graphs" is a search phrase that is used a lot, but the clicks never arrive, because it doesn't really show up at the top of the search results page on Google for this query.
Step 2: Get the Most Popular Keywords from Google Search Console into InfraNodus
Let's copy the first most popular terms into InfraNodus (by the number of impressions):
Get them to InfraNodus — make sure to add a tag `600-1000` to the tags (below the editor window), so you can later filter this graph by more popular / less popular keyword groups:
Step 3: Generate SEO keyword clusters
Now that you imported the most important keywords, you can see in which context they are used together. For example, the word "product" is used with "review" but the word "review" is used with "analysis". So you can target the SEO cluster of "product review analysis" and create content that will link those concepts together. Google will consider your website more relevant to both "product analysis" and "product reviews" and you'll get shown higher up in the search results.
Step 4: Copy more keywords into InfraNodus
Reiterate and add more keyword group separately, those that have a lower number of impressions — adding a tag every time e.g. [600 to 1000], [300 to 600], [100 to 300].
This will help you get to more specific content ideas with a lower competition, although you should make sure not to target unpopular queries.
